Ilo Elizabeth (Thorne) Taylor was born August 1, 1914 to
Lawrence William and Ola Borders
Botner Thorne in Hillsdale. She married
Samuel Edwin Taylor
on August 1, 1934. Together they had four children (including
twin sons): James Waldon, Gerald Lee, Harold Dee and William
Ray. Harold (December 5, 1942 - September 3, 1982) died from Cancer
and is buried in Calumet Park Cemetery. She was a very loving and
devoted wife and mother, and loved her Lord and Savior with all she
was. As a young person, she was of the Presbyterian religion, but
changed denominations to Baptist in her later years. She suffered
from Alzheimers, and passed away October 23, 1989 as a result of Cancer
of the Uterus in Gary, Indiana. She was buried in Calumet Park
Cemetery.
