Norman Jump Houchin was born August 16, 1927 in Indiana to Joshua Jump and Violet Ruth Radar Houchin. He first married Thamoin "Tham" Thomson in November 1946. They were the parents of two sons, Jay Jump II and Timothy Norman. He second married Patricia Hoffman February 29, 1976 in Polk County, Florida. He died October 13, 1991 in Louisville, Alabama. He is buried in Seminole Cemetery in Seminole Pinellas, Florida.
