P. P. and ELIZA S. FUSSELMAN were married in Trumbell [sic] County, Ohio, in the year 1820, having 5 children, all of whom are living --- there never having a death occurred in the family. On the 50th anniversary of their marriage they celebrated their golden wedding at the suburban residence of their son-in-law, C. EDGERTON, Esq.
There were present all the children (with the exception of IRA B., whose oldest son died that day,) grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, the family and descendants numbering 28, and the ages of parents and children aggregating 400 years.
Soon after breaking out of the rebellion, Mr. FUSSELMAN, Sr., assisted materially in raising and organizing the 72nd Ohio Volunteers Infantry, and was with it at its first battle at Pittsburg Landing, and several subsequent engagements. In 1863, his health failing, he resigned and came home. Truly providence has dealt kindly with this highly favored family.
