On Braytown Rd. which continues on from Patton Hollow Rd. 3.9 miles from State Rd. 56, is Republic Cemetery. The deed is recorded in Book 1, page 372 in the Recorder's Office at the Switzerland County, Courthouse. It is dated February 20, 1841. There is no Town or Range mentioned in the deed. It was given by John Anderson Senr. and his wife Jane, to David Trobridge, Nathan Lee, Benjamin Lamson, William Haskill and William Morgan. Trustees of the Republican Meeting House in Craig Township. In consideration for the faithful worship of God, and for the advancement of Religion and Moral and Religious instruction. It is described as being on the north side of the Port William and Versailles Road, on the line between John Anderson's land and the land belonging to Alexander B. Anderson.

There are no field stones. Many of the stones are flat on the ground, some almost completely covered by grass, making it appear there may be some that are completely covered and were not found by the compiler.
