From THE HOOSIER JOURNAL OF ANCESTRY
The original 1/2 acre for a Church & burial ground was deeded by
George & Mary Markland in 1843. An additional 1
acre was deeded to the trustees in 1900 by Mary H. Albert, Oliver T.,
& Lou J. Markland, all unmarried.
I have not copied this cemetery in rows,
but number by stone only and
began on the South side. Again where there are discrepancies in my copy
and Ms. Morford's book, I give hers in parenthesis. If I can clarify any of
these I do."
