merchant, Markland, is a native of this county and a son of Marion Reeves. He grew to maturity and was educated in this locality. He was employed for a time as clerk for the firm of Robbinson & Bledsoe, and in March, 1885, began business for himself. He was married, in 1881, to Abbie Clendening, a daughter of John Clendening, an old, esteemed citizen of this county. They have one son, Clyde. Mr. Reeves is a member of the I.O.O.F., having passed all the chairs of the same, and to the Grand Lodge.
