Ira Malin Lindley

Ira Malin Lindley

Ira Malin Lindley son of Ira J. Lindley and Euphemia (Farrar) Lindley was born in 1843 in Switzerland County, Indiana. His father, Ira J., was 23 and his mother, Euphemia, was 18. He was called Malin by his family and friends. When Malin was 18 years of age he enlisted at the call of his country in Company D, 10th Regiment of the Indiana, Union Cavalry and served as a private. He received an honorable discharge at Vicksburg, Mississippi, the 31st day of August, 1865. He married Mary L. Schmidt 26 Sept. 1866 and they had two children. They later divorced. He married Adaline O'Neal in 1882 in Markland, Indiana. He died on July 3, 1909, in his hometown at the age of 66 and is buried in the Hastie Cemetery in Markland, Indiana.

Julius D. Lindley

Julius D. Lindley, son of Ira J. and Euphemia Farrar Lindley, was born in 1845 in Vevay, Indiana. His father, Ira, was 25 and his mother, Euphemia, was 23. He had two brothers and three sisters. Julius may have died in the Civil War. He is the only child of Ira J. and Euphemia Farrar Lindley without a known burial place.
