SOUTH BEND - Genevieve Jean Zuk, 93, passed
away of natural causes on Sunday, the 4th of November. Jean was

Josie, Alice and Frances, and brothers, Bill and Mathew.
On June 1, 1940, Jean and Casimer H. Zuk
were married in St. Adalbert's Church. The marriage lasted 58
years until his passing on May 11, 1998. Jean was the last of her
generation. Surviving are her son, Eugene C. "Gene"
Zuk; nephews, Zygmund and Diane Lorence of LaPorte, Donald
and Joyce Pletcher, Daniel and Cassandra Pletcher, all of
South Bend; nieces, June and Ray Hoffman of Elkhart, Sandy
and Terry Mann of Arlington, TX. Jean had a big and
generous heart, and had a large extended family. The children
gave her the title of "Miss Jean," and "Miss
Jean" she was to this day. She would help anyone, even if
she had to do without. Left to mourn Miss Jean are Steve, Denise,
Kate, Nicholas, Taylor, Thomas, Jessica and Olivia Robertson.
Jean's special angel is Ciara, who shares her birthday in
September. Jean was 93 years old and Ciara was three years old.
