Casimer H. Zuk

Casimer H. Zuk, 82, of Rowantree
Place, South Bend, Ind., died at 7:22 p.m. on Monday, May 11, in
Memorial Hospital. He was born on Aug. 10, 1915, in South Bend,
and was a lifelong area resident. He retired in 1980 from Allied
Stamping. He was also employed by the former Studebaker
Corporation and the Oliver Corporation.
He was married on June 1, 1940, in South
Bend, to Genevieve M. ''Jean'' Knapp who survives.
He is also survived by a son, Eugene
''Gene'' Zuk of South Bend; a sister, Veronica Dabrowiak
of South Bend; and by a brother, Edward Zuk of West Palm Beach,
Fla. Mr. Zuk was preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine
Zuk, Mary Zuk, Harriet Zuk and Bernice Jones; and by three
brothers, John Zuk, Joseph Zuk, and Henry Zuk.
Mr. Zuk was a veteran of World War II and a
50-year member of American Legion Bendix Post 284.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m.
today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road,
South Bend, where a Rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Services will
be at 10 a.m. on Thursday in St. Casimer Catholic Church where
Mr. Zuk was a member. Memorial contributions may be made to St.
Casimer Catholic Church, 1308 W. Dunham Street, South Bend, IN
