MISHAWAKA – Mrs. Mary E. Zirille, 86, of 1005 E. Lawrence Street, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital, after an illness of six months. She was born Nov. 30, 1885 in Italy and came to Mishawaka from Italy in 1913.

As Mary Calabria she married Frank Zirille in Italy on April 24, 1909. He died in 1944. She is a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church, the church Rosary Society and the Di Loreto Club Auxiliary. Survivors include five sons, Michael, Dominic, Patrick, Joseph and Frank, all of Mishawaka; three daughters, Mrs. Myrlan Miller of Mishawaka and Mrs. Patrick Trimboli and Mrs. Betty Keenan of Massena, N.Y.; a brother Anthony Calabria of Australia; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Miss Frances Zirille died in 1962.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Rev. William Giernowski, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Members of the Rosary Society will recite the rosary in the funeral home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
