Frances Zirille

MISHAWAKA - Mrs. Frances Zirille, 84, formerly of 514 E. Broadway, died at 1 p.m. Monday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Patrick O’Neil of Ann Arbor, Mich. after an illness of 15 years. Zshe was born Plati, Italy, on Sept. 2, 1888 and came to Mishawaka in 1929 from Italy.

As Frances Catanzarite she married to Frank Zirille on April 28, 1910 in Italy. He died in 1958. Surviving are a son, Joseph J. Ziirille; four daughters, Mrs. Emile Valenti of South Bend, Mrs. Dominic Bezi of Mishawaka, Mrs. Dominic Sengi (Editor: Sergi) of Indianapolis and Mrs. O’Neil; two brothers, Dominic and Tony Catanzarite of Australia; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church and the Santa Marie de Loretto Women’s Sodality.

Services for Frances Zirille will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Rev. William Gieranowski, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today.
