Agnes N. "Nellie" Zirille, 75, of Colony Court, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 1:17 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Agnes was born on March 20, 1925, in Lexington, Ill., to the late DeWitt and Delia (Hacker) Gabbard.

On April 12, 1947, as Agnes Nellie Gabbard, she married Joseph F. Zirille in Mishawaka. Joseph survives. She is also survived by three daughters, Mary D. Cichowicz of South Bend, Ind., Denise (Michael) Collins of South Bend and Jonell (Jim) Lebiedzinski of Elkhart, Ind.; a son, Joseph R. (Candace) Zirille of Granger, Ind.; four grandchildren, Timothy Cichowicz, Andrew Collins and Christopher Collins, all of South Bend, and Michelle Zirille of Granger; and by two brothers, Victor Gabbard of Mishawaka and Dennis Gabbard of Florida.

Agnes was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church of Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 25, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, with Br. Stephen Nani, C.S.C., officiating. Burial will take place at the Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
