Ralph Ziegert, Jr.
Ralph "Bumpy" Ziegert Jr., 62, of Lincoln Way West,
died April 1, 1991. He was employed by American Legion Post 161
for seven years as a bartender and was a former machine operator
for Clark Equipment, Co., for 12 years. He was born August 13,
1928, and was a lifetime area resident. On August 16, 1969, he
married Cecilia Spagnola. She survives with a daughter, Cheryl
Mark of South Bend; three stepdaughters, Mary Ann Thompson and
Linda Rittenhouse, both of Mishawaka, and Debbie Verela of
Elkhart; two sons Gregory of Vicksburg, Mich., and Michael; two
stepsons, John and Albert Spagnola, both of South Bend, and Alex
Murdrovich; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister,
Delores Russwurm of South Bend; and a brother Richard. He was a
member of American Legion Post 161. Services were at Bubb
Funeral Chapel Downtown. Burial at Highland Cemetery, South
