MISHAWAKA - Paul Zeltinger, 91, Bradenton, FL, formerly of
Mishawaka, passed away after an illness on Thursday, Oct. 18,
2007, in his home. Paul was born on Jan. 5, 1916, in Elkhart, IN,
as the son of Peter and Ada (Rentfrow) Zeltinger. He was
preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
On June 20, 1936, in Mishawaka, he married
the former Marguerite Bert, who preceded him in death on
July 24, 1996. On June 28, 2001, in Elkhart, IN, he married
Maisie Ball, who preceded him in death on September 23,
2001. Surviving Paul are his companion, Frances Ableman of
Bradenton, FL, and Wisconsin Dells, WI; two sisters-in-law,
Edwina Bert of Mishawaka, IN, and Bertha August of
Elkhart, IN; a niece, Lorraine (Bob) Hull of Granger; and
four nephews, Todd (Krista) Bert of Mishawaka, Lance Bert of
Ypsanti, MI, Carey (Lillian) Bert of Elkhart and Scott Bert of
Osceola. Paul was employed by Con-Edison in Chicago as a plant
engineer for 38 years before his retirement in 1975. He was an
avid gardener. He loved to visit friends and share stories. Paul
was a member of the Moose Lodge Mishawaka and Queen of Peace
Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday,
October 23, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in Queen of Peace Catholic Church,
Mishawaka, where friends may call one hour prior in the church,
with Rev. Dan Scheidt officiating. Hahn Funeral Home has been
entrusted with handling the arrangements. Entombment will follow
at Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum, South Bend.
