SOUTH BEND - Henry J. ''Hank'' Zeiger, 81, of Clover Street, died at 2 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka.
Mr. Zeiger retired in 1980 as the owner/operator of Zeiger Motor Sales after 30 years of service.
He was born April 18, 1912, in Bremen, and was a lifelong area resident.
On April 18, 1938, in South Bend, he married Thelma M. Bolenbaugh. She survives, with a son, Daniel J. of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and a brother, Cecil of South Bend.
He was a veteran of World War II and had performed Bible studies and church services for area nursing homes since 1981, including Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, Meridian Nursing Center-Morningside, and St. Joseph Day Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Grace Brethren Church, Mishawaka. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home and one hour before services on Monday in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Society of St. Joseph County.
