Lena Zehring

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home for Mrs. Lena Zehring, 81, formerly of 746 S. 35^th Street, South Bend, who died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Myers Nursing Home, Bremen.

Rt. Rev. Msgr. Leo A. Hoffmann, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home where friends may call after 6 p.m. Born in Mishawaka on June 4, 1888, she had spent her lifetime in the Mishawaka area. As Lena Deitchley, she was married to ira Zehring in Mishawaka on Jan. 28, 1917. He died in 1964. Surviving are a son, Virgil of Grittith, Ind.; a daughter. Mrs. Catherine Miller of Mishawaka and a sister, Miss Mary Deitchley of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
