Mrs. John Zdankus

June 1, 1911 – November 10, 1982

Mrs. Angella P. (Nell) Zdankus, 71, of 29899 US 20, New Carlisle, died at 4:30pm Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.  She was a former employee of the New Carlisle Package Liquor Store.

She as born on June 1, 1911, in St Clair PA, and lived in the South Bend area most of her life.  On June 1, 1929, in Gary, she married John M. Zdankus.  He survives with three daughters, Mrs. Katherine Stopczynski and Mrs. Dorothy Szucsits, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Angella Martz of Nappanee; two sons, John A. of LaPorte and George of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother, John Aimutis of Hobart.

Services will be at 10am Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Dale Bauman,  associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 9pm Friday in St Joseph Funeral Home where the parish rosary will be recited at 7pm Friday.  She was a member of the Ladies Rosary Sodality of Holy Family Church, and was a WW II War Mother.
