Frank Zatarga

Apr. 1878 – July 10, 1950

Frank Zatgrga, 74, of 412 South Arnold Street, died suddenly at 7:30 a.m. today while working at his job in the press room of the Studebaker corporation.  He had been employed there 30 years.

 

He was born in Poland and came to South Bend 68 years ago.

 

Last November he and his wife Mary Zatarga celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. She survives.

 

He leaves two sons, Edward and Sylvester, of South Bend; two grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley and John Zatarga, of Manistee, Mich., and a sister Mrs. Rose Tyran, Manistee.

 

He was a member of the St. Joseph league of St. Hedwige’s Catholic Church, and of UAW-CIO local union No. 5.

 

Friends may call after noon Tuesday in the home of the son, Edward Zatarga, 914 West Thomas Street.

Funeral services for Frank Zatarga, 412 South Arnold Street, will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Hedwige’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery. Friend may call in the residence of a son, Edward Zatarga, 914 West Thomas Street.
