Teresa Yugo, 46, of South Bend, Ind., passed away peacefully at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, in her home in the presence of family and friends. Teresa was born on Dec. 22, 1953, in Troy, N.C.

She grew up in Gary and Merrillville, Ind., graduating from Merrillville High School in 1971. She earned two degrees from Indiana University.

Her most recent occupation was a library paraprofessional at McKinley Elementary School, South Bend Community School Corporation. Her zest for living and love for her family were hallmarks of her life.

She is survived by her husband, David; three children, Travis Krueger, Nicholas and Katharine Yugo; parents, Ruth and Lester Dennis of Knox, Ind.; and by a brother, Chuck (Laura) Dennis of Tulare, Calif.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, in the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 North Ironwood Drive, South Bend. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Teresa Yugo Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 N. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN 46615. The McGann Funeral Homes, University Area Chapel, 2313 Edison Road, South Bend, is handling the arrangements.
