Charles R. Youts
July 31, 1939 - June 13, 2002
Charles Reid "Chubby" Youts, 62, of Winston Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, June 13, in his residence.
Charles was born July 31, 1939, in South Bend, to Edward and Virginia (Danielowicz) Youts Harsanyi, who have preceded him in death.
Charles married Antoinette "Toni" De Cook on Feb. 7, 1959. She survives. Also left to mourn Charles is his father, Frank Harsanyi; one daughter, Koleen (Chris) Linker of Granger, Ind.; a son, Eric (Anita) Youts of Crown Point, Ind.; three grandchildren, Erica Linker of Mishawaka, Ind., Kara Linker of Granger and Matthew Linker of Granger; a brother, Gerald (Arline) Youts of Barron Lake, Mich.; and aunts, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Charles was a member of Jokers and Breezers Club, and Little Flower Catholic Church. He was a supervisor for Code Enforcement for the City of South Bend. He was the previous co-owner of Jerry and Chubs Tavern on the west side of South Bend.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today, June 16, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. There will be a Rosary said at 5 p.m.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, in Little Flower Catholic Church. Cremation to follow, with entombment at a later date.
