MISHAWAKA - Violet B. Young, 79, of Lawrence Street,
Mishawaka, formerly of Randolph Street, South Bend, passed away
following an illness in Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, at 12:08
p.m. on Sunday, July 6th. She was born May 25, 1929, in
Mishawaka, to Herbert and Nellie (Parks) Bryan, who
both preceded her in death.
On April 13th, 1957, in Mishawaka, she
married Wilton L. Young, who died September 17th, 1994. She is
survived by her children, Brian (Vicki) Young of Elkhart, Amy
(Jeff) Hartman of Mishawaka and Joyce (Todd) Pearson
of Orleans, Indiana. She is also survived by nine grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren, and a niece, Brenda Krauser,
along with several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in
death by a granddaughter, Charish Hope Pearson. Mrs. Young had
been a member of Twin City Baptist Church since 1955, and was a
team manager for Indiana Bell until her retirement in 1964 after
20 years of service. The family is comforted by the knowledge
that she is in heaven with her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Funeral services for Mrs. Young will be held
at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Twin City Baptist Church. Friends will
be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral
Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, and one hour prior to
the services on Thursday in the church. Burial will follow at
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. The family has requested
that memorial contributions be made to Twin City Baptist Church.
