Sister M. Constania CSC, died at
Saint Marys Convent early this morning following an
extended illness. She was born Mary Helen Young in
Glencarlyn, Va. in 1879. She was educated in Alexandria, Va., and
entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1879. She received her
habit in 1898 and made her profession of vows in 1903. During her
community life she taught at various schools in Indiana,
Virginia, Maryland, California, New York, and for many years in
Washington DC. She retired to St. Marys from the Eastern
Province in 1961.
A requiem high mass will be offered in the
Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Marys at 6 a.m.
Monday, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
