12, 1977 - May 7, 2010SOUTH BEND - Kevin Wayne Young, 33, was born on March 12, 1977, Zachary, LA, to Sherlyn Faye (Young) Rogers. Father figures included biological father, Chester Jones, and he was raised by James Melvin (Cathy) Rogers. He made South Bend, IN, his home until he departed on May 7, 2010. He is survived by his living companion with whom he walked for 16 years, Ericka Tijerina. Children include three daughters, Amiyah, Meena and Alayna Young, and one son, Marques Young. Siblings include five sisters, Sherlyn Young, Anjionna and Emonnie Jones, Sudreka and Jenae; and six brothers, Torenzo and Deangelo Ewing, Ryan Rogers, Marquis and Tyrone Jones, and Desmond Hardy. He left behind a large blended family of grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and in-laws. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Roudelle and John Young, and Ruby Jones. Funeral and burial services will be held Saturday, May 15, in the Pine Grove Church, Clinton, LA.
