Sally Ridout Yike, 86, residing on
East Fairington Circle, South Bend, IN, died at 2:05 a.m.
Thursday, April 26, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center,
South Bend. She was born on November 17, 1914, in San Francisco,
CA, to the late Alfred and Florence (High) Clow and
lived in the South Bend area most of her life.
On November 10, 1956, in South Bend, she
married Harold O. Yike, who preceded her in death on April 27,
1986. Mrs. Yike is survived by three sons, Robert C. Ridout
of Jessup, Iowa, Daryl E. Ridout of Williston, Florida and Craig
H. Ridout of South Bend; nine grandchildren and thirteen
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers
and sisters, Dorothy Bennett, Emery Sutton, Thomas
Sutton and Annabelle Zimmerman.
Sally was baptized in the 1st Christian
Church of South Bend, and attended Granger Community church. She
was a charter member of South Bend Eagles Auxiliary #435. She
served as a wool spotter at several dry cleaning services in the
Michiana area.
Services for Mrs. Sally Yike will be at 2:00
p.m. Monday, April 30, in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka
Avenue, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at
Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7
p.m. Sunday in the Palmer Funeral Home. Contributions in memory
of Sally Yike may be offered to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111
Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
