Keith L. Yike, 69, of Mayflower Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 2:25 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26, in Hospice House, South Bend, Ind. Keith retired July 1, 1999, from Allied Signal after 48 years of service. Keith was born Dec. 31, 1932, in South Bend, to the late Floyd and Margaret (Hattery) Yike, and had lived in this area all of his life. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Georgeanne Hammer; and by a brother, Harold Yike.

On Feb. 4, 1956, in South Bend, he married Eldonna "Sue" Matthews, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Debra Yike of South Bend; three sons, Brian (Glenna) Yike of Liberal, Mo., Kenneth (Janie) Yike and Michael Yike, both of South Bend; five grandchildren, Josh (Alishia), Aubrey, Dani, Rachel and Marissa; and by two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Jamie.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Donald Francis will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.

Keith served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
