Wallace E. Yeakey, 65, of South Main
Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness on Sunday,
March 2, in Fountainview Place, Mishawaka. Wallace was born on
May 14, 1937, in Mishawaka, as the son of the late Earl and
Charity Yeakey.
Wallace is survived by three daughters, Tina
Becerra of LaGuna Niguel, Calif., Angela Multari
and Jennifer Jennings, both of Mishawaka; three sons,
Daniel Yeakey of South Bend, Ind., Christopher Yeakey and Wallace
Yeakey Jr., both of Mishawaka; two sisters, Lois Swanghart of
Edwardsburg, Mich., and Jean Broker of Plymouth, Ind.;
four brothers, Earl Yeakey of Osceola, Ind., Merle Yeakey and
Arden Yeakey, both of Mishawaka, and Jerry Yeakey of Tacoma,
Wash.; his stepmother, Bertha Yeakey of North Liberty, Ind.; two
half sisters, Marylou Holmes and Carol Ruffles,
both of Plymouth; three half brothers, John Yeakey of El Cajon,
Calif., Wayne Yeakey of North Liberty and Dale Yeakey of Phoenix,
Ariz.; his former wife, Wilma Lewis of Mishawaka; and by 11
grandchildren. Mr. Yeakey was employed by Dodge Reliance of
Mishawaka for 30 years before his retirement.
Friends may call on Wednesday, March 5, from
2 to 6 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street,
Mishawaka. Local funeral services will be held at 6 p.m.
Wednesday evening in the funeral home, with Pastor Russell
Shefbuch officiating. Burial and military services will be
conducted at 1 p.m. (Mich. time) on Thursday, March 6, at Ft.
Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Mich.
