GRANGER - Annabelle L. Yaw, 77, of Granger, IN, passed away on
Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Saint Joseph Regional Medical
Center in Mishawaka. Annabelle was born on August 11, 1932, in
Mishawaka, to the late Owen and Mildred (Stillson) Shingledecker.
As the former Annabelle Shingledecker, she married Lyle Yaw in
Mishawaka on April 9, 1953. Lyle and Annabelle just celebrated
their 57th anniversary. Annabelle is survived by her husband,
Lyle, along with her sister, Frances (John) Avery of Osceola, IN,
and a brother, Loren Shingledecker of Mishawaka. Also surviving
are several nieces and nephews. A son, Leslie Yaw, who passed
away in June of 1975, and two brothers, Owen and Roger
Shingledecker, preceded Annabelle in death. Annabelle was the
president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2083 Women's
Auxiliary of Mishawaka. She also was a lifetime member of the
Women's Auxiliary of the VFW Post #360 of Mishawaka and The
American Legion Post #161 of Mishawaka. Annabelle and Lyle
enjoyed traveling and camping in their motor home throughout the
country. She would also visit the gambling casinos in Michigan.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 3, 2010, from 2-4
p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St.,
Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 4th,
at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ervin Mize
officiating. Burial will follow the service at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN. Memorial contributions may be
made to the Women's Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie
#2083, 225 S. Main St., Mishawaka, IN 46544.
