MISHAWAKA - Adolph Yakas, 83, of Lincoln Way West, died at 5:35 p.m. Monday in Countryside Place. Mr. Yakas retired in 1957 from the U.S. Postal Service after 32 years of service. He was born July 8, 1911, in Spring Valley, Ill., and lived in Mishawaka for two years, coming from Valparaiso. On Sept. 22, 1934, in Chicago, he married Adele Grigutis. She survives, with a daughter, Geraldine Schroer of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hahn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call two hours before services Thursday in the funeral home
