Elodie Wulfaert

June 27, 1875 – December 21, 1973

Mrs. Elodie Wulfaert, 98, of the Carlyle Nursing Home, died at 11:15am Friday in the nursing home following an illness of five years. Born in Westdorpe, Holland, on June 27, 1875, she came to this area from that city in 1899. As Elodie Buysse she married Edward A. Wulfaert in Westdorpe on June 8, 1899. He died in June 1963.

Surviving are a brother, Alfred Buysse of South Bend, four sisters, Mrs. Martha vanWynsberghe, Mrs. Augusta Barber and Mrs. Bertha vanHecke, all of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Madeline Davidson of South Bend, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday in the deVos Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Sunday. Services will be held at 10am Monday in Corpus Christi Church, Rev. Joseph Horvath, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
