Mary Frances Wright, 89, of
Fieldstone Lane, Granger, Ind., resided at Miller's Merry Manor
in New Carlisle, Ind., where a loving staff and friends
surrounded her. Mary was born on Oct. 2, 1911, in Terre Haute,
Ind., to John and Hope Wells, who both preceded her in
death. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in
death, Glen Wells, Seth Wells, William Wells, Carrie Mitchell,
Violet Wells and Dovie Wittner.
In February 1933 she married James R. Mattingly,
who preceded her in death. Her second husband, Harold D. Huff,
and her third husband, Claude "Ben" Wright, also
preceded her in death. Mary was a cherished mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, and friend to all she met. Everyone who knew
her adored her and was loved in return. We will always remember
her loving nature, sweet, gentle spirit, her laughter, and
phenomenal love of life.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Mattingly
of Largo, Fla.; a daughter, Marilyn Sibley, and
son-in-law, Lee Sibley, of Granger; and by a sister, Louise Banks
of Seminole, Fla. Mary is also survived by three granddaughters,
Hope Sibley of South Bend, Ind., Jennifer Sibley of
Cambridgeshire, England, and Lisa Sibley Benko, along with
her husband, Andy, and two great-granddaughters, Sara Elizabeth
and Lindsay Ann Benko of Raleigh, N.C.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Thursday, Feb. 15, in Clay United Methodist Church, 17646
Cleveland Road. Friends may call one hour prior to the memorial
service. She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in South
Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Clay United Methodist
Church, to Miller's Merry Manor in New Carlisle, or to Harbor
Light Hospice of South Bend. The family wishes to extend a
special thanks to all the staff at Miller's Merry Manor and
Harbor Light Hospice for their special love and care, both to
Mary and her family.
