George A Wright, 73 of 23583 Brick Rd., died at 11:02 pm Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after a six-month illness. He was a retired employee of the Bendix Corp. He was born Jan. 1, 1900, in St. Joseph, Mich., and had lived in South Bend 15 years coming from New Carlisle. On Dec. 24, 1968 in South Bend, he married Kitty B. Gregory, who survives. Also surviving are two stepsons, Clarence Gregory of Niles, and Cosby Gregory of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Milliken of Washington, D.C.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Walbert of Knoxville, Tenn., and Mrs. Dorothy Patton of Crystal Lake, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth, of Osceola, Clayton and Russell of Elkhart, and two sisters, Mrs. Elva McKinny of Michigan City and Mrs. Edna Flody of New Carlisle. Friends may call from 2 to 4  and 7 to 9 pm Thursday in the Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 pm Friday. Burial will be in the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte. Mr. Wright was a member of the Bendix Retirees Club.
