Mrs. Fannie Mae Wright, 75, beloved
mother, grandmother and sister, who resided on Western Avenue,
South Bend, Indiana, passed from this life at 7:50 p.m.,
Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center,
following an illness. On November 3, 1924, in Jackson,
Mississippi, she was born to the union of the late Willie and
Fannie (Walton) Drumwood.
She was united in matrimony to Leonard
Wright on February 3, 1950, in Jackson, Mississippi. Mr. Wright
preceded her in death on August 27, 1973. Surviving family
members who will cherish her memory include a daughter, Linda
Wright; one grandson, Paris Wright; two godchildren, Darlene M.
Berry-Shipman and Eric C. Berry; god grandchildren,
Antony Berry, Christopher Berry, Damien Shipman and Amanda Berry;
a daughter in Christ, Connie Smith; one sister, Mary Botts;
and one brother, Johnny B. Coleman, all of South Bend;
along with other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death
along with her husband and parents was a daughter, Mary Ann
Wright.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday, March 28, at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ where
she was a member. Friends may call one hour prior to the service
at the church. Alford's Mortuary has been entrusted with
arrangements.
