SOUTH BEND - Charles W. Wright, 70, of Bryan Street, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday in his home. Mr. Wright retired in 1987 from Brulin Chemical Corp., Indianapolis, as a district sales representative after 22 years of service and was a former bartender for Buysse's Tavern. He was born Nov. 25, 1924, in Bedford, Ind., and lived in South Bend since 1965, coming from Highland, Ind.

On July 26, 1947, in Glenwood, Ill., he married Mary R. Follmar. She survives with two daughters, Ellen M. Hirsch of South Bend and Patricia A. Vance of Nappanee; two sons, Charles J. of Chicago and Kenneth L. of South Bend; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Rita Ahlborn of Ocala, Fla., and Patricia Eriks of Rochester. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9820 and American Legion Post 284.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Cremation will take place. Friends may call two hours before services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc
