Ann Blissenbach Wray - She was born March 10, 1910, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Joseph and Rose (Dahm) Blissenbach. She was a graduate of Mankato State Teacher's College with a BS in education. During World War II she was a social worker with Catholic Charities in the USO. Later in life, she taught in the Walkerton and North Liberty public schools. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Walkerton and served as President of the St. Patrick Women's Club. Her other memberships included Tri Kappa Sorority, the Row Crop Food Producers, the Walloon Lake Association, and the Johnson Township Extension Homemaker's Club.
Her husband of fifty-four years, Donald I. Wray, preceded her in death on March 19 of this year. Two sisters and one brother also preceded her in death. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Helen Wray of Walkerton and Virginia Malloy (Dennis) of Houston, Texas.
The funeral Mass will be at 11:00 (EST) Tuesday, December 18, at St. Patrick Church in Walkerton. Memorial contributions can be made to Saint Patrick Church.
