GEORGE T. WRASSE

Aug. 16, 1914 - May 2, 1990

"SOUTH BEND - Services for George T. Wrasse, 75, of Tudor Lane, who died about 9:25 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. Cremation will take place at Michiana Crematory with burial at Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call following services on Saturday in the church parlor. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Mr. Wrasse retired in 1988 as president of Great Northern Distributing Co. He was born Aug. 16, 1914, in LaPorte and lived in South Bend 53 years, coming from LaPorte. On May 4, 1940, in Valparaiso, he married Mary Elizabeth Whiteman. She died Feb. 9, 1983. He is survived by a daughter, Linda A. Harnisch of Ann Arbor; a son, G. Thomas II of Buchanan; and three grandchildren. He was a member of the church, where he was a trustee, Phi Delta Theta Social Fraternity, Downtown South Bend Rotary Club, Memorial Health Foundation Board, and South Bend Country Club. He was a graduate of Indiana University and a veteran of World War II."
