William E. Worsham, 73, of Mishawaka,
died at 2:10 p.m. Monday, July 24th, in Saint Joseph Regional
Medical Center in Mishawaka. He was born in Waxhaw, MS, on
October 20, 1932, to Charles and Beaulah (Garrett)
Worsham. William was preceded in death by his parents, five
sisters and two brothers.
He married the former Betty L. Lindsey on
December 1, 1951, in Iuka, MS. She survives along with a
daughter, Anita Hubbard of Florence, AL; two sons, Charlie
(Cheryl) Worsham of South Bend and Adrian M. Worsham of
Mishawaka; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He
is also survived by two sisters, Lib (Bert) Portolese of
Mishawaka and Rachael (Floyd) Sanders of Shaw, MS; and by
his twin brother, John Worsham of Mishawaka.
Following retirement he spent many hours
outside watching the wildlife. He enjoyed his grandkids. He was a
loving father and grandfather. William served with the Army Air
Corps during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in
1950. He retired from Uniroyal in 1990 following 37 years of
service. He was a member of American Legion Post #161.
There will be no visitation. A memorial
service will be held at a later date. Bubb Funeral Chapel is
assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions
