LAKEVILLE - Genevieve Grace Worm, 84,
residing on Osborne Road, Lakeville, Ind., passed away at 5:20
p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Bon-Secours/Venice Healthcare
Center, Venice, Fla. Mrs. Worm was a homemaker, born on Aug. 25,
1914, in Lakeville, to the late John and Marietta (Fisher)
Moon. A daughter, Nancy Roush, also preceded her mother in
death in 1978. Mrs. Worm had been a lifelong resident of
Lakeville, wintering in Venice, Fla., for the past 19 years.
On June 15, 1935, in Medaryville, Ind., she
married Harold "Willie" Worm, who survives. She is also
survived by five sons, Roger Worm of Lakeville, Paul Worm of
Nokomis, Fla., John Worm of Reynolds, Ind., Don Worm of Venice,
Fla., and Loren Worm of Rockford, Ill.; 16 grandchildren and 23
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Wesolek of North
Liberty, Ind., and Marguarite Krogsrud of Roseville,
Calif.; and by five brothers, Walter Moon of Bristol, Ind., Lamar
Moon of Page, N.D., Maynard Moon of Lakeville, Grant Moon of
South Bend, Ind., and Clyde Dale Moon of Fontana, Calif. Mrs.
Worm was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Lakeville,
was formerly active in the Lakeville Lions Club, and was a member
of the church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on
Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Lakeville United Methodist Church. Rev.
David Cross, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial and
graveside services will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23,
at the Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville, and one hour prior to
services at the church on Saturday. Contributions in memory of
Genevieve Worm may be made to any church.
