John Wordinger

The body of a man, identified as John Wordinger, 37, who had been missing since early last week from the Eby dairy farm near Wakarusa where he had been employed, was found late this morning in his tightly closed automobile on a lane in a woods just east of the county line road and 100 feet south of the E. & W. railroad track.

He is survived by four brothers, Jess, Ed, and Beuford, all of Osceola, and Ralph of new New Carlisle, and three sisters, Mrs. Chester Smith of east of Mishawaka, Mrs. John Hull of South Bend, and Mrs. Warren Townsend of Osceola.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wordinger of Osceola. He grew up in Osceola, attended school there, and spent most of his life in and near there.

The body of John Wordinger, 37, found Tuesday in his car in a woods lane near the E. & W. track near the Elkhart-St. Joseph county line, under conditions indicating suicide, was taken last night from the Charles Walley mortuary to the Bubb mortuary in Mishawaka.

A private service was held there at 3 o’clock this afternoon with burial at Bremen.

Because of ta similarity of names, H.B. Fink, proprietor of the Eby dairy of Elkhart, said today, some people are under the mistaken impression that Wordinger worked for him.
