Beuford J. Wordinger, 80, of 2022 Prairie, died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was retired in 1970 from the LaSalle Hotel, where he was employed as a painter.
He was born Jan. 27, 1899, in Marshall County and had lived in South Bend most of his life.
On Oct. 12, 1934 in South Bend, he married Mabel Wolf, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Whitehead of South Bend; a son, Robert E. of Rochet, Minn; three grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Buella Smith of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Viola Townsend in North Carolina.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel. Rev. David Hab, pastor of New Apostolic Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Frienda may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Apostolic Church.
