SOUTH BEND - Services for Irene D. Woodworth, 90, of Hamilton Grove Retirement Community, New Carlisle, formerly of South Bend, who died about 11:10 p.m. Friday in LaPorte Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services on Wednesday in the funeral home.

Miss Woodworth retired in 1970 from South Bend Community School Corp. as a health and physical education teacher after 47 years of service. She was born April 26, 1904, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by two nephews, Earl Woodworth and Wayne Woodworth, both of South Bend; five great-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Columbia University and Chicago Normal School of Physical Education and was a member of Indiana and National Retired Teachers Association.
