SOUTH BEND - Thomas Henry Woods, 69, residing on Bowman Street, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008, in his home. He was born November 2, 1938, in Indianapolis, IN, to Clay and Eva Louise Kolkiewicz Woods, and had lived in South Bend most of his life.

On August 6, 1994, in South Bend, he was united in marriage to Linda Herman, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Tracey (Gino) Johnson of South Bend; two sons, Troy (Christina) Woods of Mishawaka and Timothy Woods of Greenville, SC; two stepdaughters, Theresa (Kirk) Pallo and Rene (Richard) Brackett, both of South Bend. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Britney Johnson; 14 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mildred (Bill) Scott of Lakeville, Mary Parker of South Bend, Sylvia (Jeffrey) Cooke of Williamsburg, VA, and Judy Knepp of Indianapolis; and two brothers Rogers Woods of Goshen and Michael Woods of Spencer, IN, survive Tom as well. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tony Woods on April 12, 1986; two sisters, Shirley Morehouse and Thelma Dylewski; and by two brothers, James and Stanley Woods. Mr. Woods was employed for 15 years at the Mastic Corp. and for 20 years for Weiss Manufacturing in Elkhart. He served his country in the United States Navy, and graduated from Morton Memorial High School in Knightstown, IN.
