Sister M. Winifred Woods CSC, 96, of Sainty Mary’s Convent, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday in her residence. She was born Oct. 8, 1895 in Grengo County, Sligo, Ireland. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Sept. 29, 1927; was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1928; and professed her final vows Aug. 16, 1930. She was assigned as a seamstress and served at St. Mary’s Convent from 1946 to 1969.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Regina Chapel with Burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, both at St. Mary’s. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday in Christ the King Chapel, where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
