NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL - Brian E. Wolz, 52, passed away in
his home in North Lauderdale, FL. He was born in Belmond, Iowa
May 24, 1955, to Sigmund and Charlotte (Kronewitter) Wolz,
Jr. He spent his formative years in South Bend, attending Holy
Cross Grade School and LaSalle High School.
After serving four years in the U.S. Army,
he moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he married Yvonne Ferrer
on April 11, 1987. She survives, along with their daughter,
Katherine "Katie" who was his pride and joy. He is also
survived by his parents, Sigmund and Charlotte; one brother, Karl
(Sue) Wolz of Madison, AL; five sisters, Ann Miller of
Mishawaka, IN, Karen (Craig) Moran of Mooresville, NC,
Diane (Terry) Clarke of Orlando, FL, Monica Wolz, and
Susan (Mark) Catanzarite of South Bend, IN. He is also
survived by 10 nephews and five nieces. He was preceded in death
by a brother, Jon Michael in 1972; paternal grandparents, Sigmund
and Stella Wolz; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Irene
Kronewitter; an uncle, Rev. Frank Kronewitter; an aunt, Shirley
Wolz; and by his godparents, Robert and Dorothy Wolz.
A memorial Mass will be held April 19, 2008,
at 3:00 p.m. in Holy Cross Church, 1050 N. Wilbur St., South
Bend. Cremation has taken place and his remains will be spread on
his birthday in the ocean near Key Largo, Florida, where he loved
to fish, snorkel, and spent many happy times with family and
friends. He will be greatly missed.
