GRANGER - George A. Wolf, 84, of Gumwood Road Granger, In. died early Sunday morning at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. Wolf was born in Granger, In. on Dec. 2, 1913 to Charles and Ada (Mossey) Wolf who preceded him in death. In Mishawaka, In.
On April 17, 1937 he married the former Virginia Kujawa who survives. As a lifelong area resident of the Granger area Mr. Wolf was a County Sheriff until his retirement in 1976. Survivors include his daughter, Mary L. Wolf of South Bend, In. A grandson, Marine L.C.P.L. John D. Owen of Camp LeJune, North Carolina. Mr. Wolf was a member of Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Granger, In. and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Homes, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, In. where a Rosary Service will be recited at 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 1998 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Edwardsburg, Mich. Burial will follow in the Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Memorials may be made in behalf of Mr. Wolf to Hospice of Saint Joseph County.
