F. Elaine Wolf

NORTH LIBERTY — F. Elaine Wolf, 75, of S. State Street, North Liberty, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, March 17, in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Center, Walkerton, Ind., after an extended illness. Mrs. Wolf was born on April 4, 1925 in North Liberty and was a lifetime resident of the area.

On August 10, 1946 in Mishawaka, Ind., as F. Elaine Gardner, she married Roy J. Wolf who preceded her in death on May 26, 1979. Elaine is survived by a daughter, Valerie A. (Les) Stewart, North Liberty, and by a granddaughter, Dawn M. Stewart who she loved and cherished from day to day. Also surviving are four sisters, Madeline Aldrich, North Liberty, Audrey (Glen) Mattocks, Walkerton, Juanita (Bill) Bouse, Walkerton, and Maxine Hayes, Tucson, Ariz. Mrs. Wolf was preceded in death by her parents, Arbia Gardner and Dorothy M. (Six) Gardner and by two sister, Dorothy Morris and Wava Jane Norris and by two brothers, Buck and Bobby Gardner. Prior to her death, Mrs. Wolf owned and operated her own business, Elaine's Beauty Shop in North Liberty, for 42 years.

Private family visitation will be held on today, March 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend. Services will be Graveside only at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 at Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty.

Rev. Ron Devenport of the Mill Creek Baptist Church will officiate at the committal service.

The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, 2211 North Oak Park Ave., Chicago, Ill., 60635 or to the Harbor Light Hospice, 300 N. Michigan St., South Bend, Ind., 46601. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extends heartfelt sympathy to the Wolf family.
