Sister Mary Berno CSC, stewardess of Saint Mary’s Convent, at St. Mary’s College from 1942 until a few weeks ago, died Saturday afternoon in the convent after a prolonged illness. She was born

Marguerite Wolfe in Ladoga, Ind., in 1890, and entered the order in 1910, taking her final vows in 1915. She was stationed in Goshen, Crawfordsville and Anderson in Indiana; and Danville, Westville and Harvard in Illinois.

A requiem high mass will be sung at 7 a.m. Monday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto on the campus. Friends may call in the convent parlor.
