Irene E. (Paszli) Wolfe, 85, of Peoria, Ariz., formerly of New Carlisle, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, in the Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital, Glendale, Ariz. Mrs. Wolfe was born on Sept. 20, 1917, in South Bend, Ind., to Joseph and Elizabeth (Horvath) Paszli. She was employed as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service, New Carlisle, for 30 years.
On April 23, 1938, in South Bend, as Irene E. Paszli, she married Walter Wolfe, who preceded her in death on July 6, 1978. Her son, Walter, also preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1999. Surviving are her grandchildren, Rick (Candy) Wolfe of Lakeville, Ind., Tina Dunbar of New Carlisle; five great-grandchildren, Priscilla (Jason) Callon, Melissa Wolfe, Jenny Wolfe, Blake Dunbar, Brittney Dunbar; two great-great-grandchildren, Trinity M. Callon and Austin W. Callon; her sister, Margaret Homco of Peoria; and by her nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Mrs. Wolfe was a former member of St. Stephen's Parish in South Bend, and the Mothers of World War II, New Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association.
