MISHAWAKA - John Richard Wojtysiak, 84, quietly passed away June
10 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Indiana.
Born May 2, 1925 to Leon and Katarzyna (Przybyke) Wojtysiak of
Edwardsburg, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents;
five sisters, two brothers and a grandchild. Was married on
October 12, 1946 to the Love of his life, Lorraine A. Blankert
who went before him on October 25, 1993. Surviving are nine
children, John R. (Barbara) Wojtysiak of Sunset Beach, NC,
Kathleen Leuthold of South Bend, Linda (Fred) McCuistion of San
Angelo, TX, Robert (Patricia) Wojtysiak of Bristol, IN, Mary
(Robert) Bagley of South Bend, Annmarie Butterworth of South
Bend, Susie Moran of Lima, OH, Cindy (Jeffrey) Misiano of
Mishawaka, and Michael Wojtysiak of Mishawaka; 24 grandchildren
and nine great grandchildren. John was Farm Manager at Saint
Francis Farms for 47 years retiring in 1990. He also was a farm
seed distributor and trusted advisor to many local farmers. He
served in WWII in the United States Navy, participated in the
invasion of Normandy, Philippines, Iwo Jima and the occupation of
Tokyo, Japan. John was a true American, a kind and caring man.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, June 14 from 2 to 8 p.m.
in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where a
Rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be held on Monday, June 15 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bavo
Catholic Church, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will
follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, with Military Rites by
VFW Post 360/American Legion Post 161 Burial Team. In lieu of
flowers the family requests that Memorial contributions be made
to Camp Millhouse Inc, 25600 Kelly Rd., South Bend, IN 46614. To
