SOUTH BEND - Josephine S. Witucki, 89, formerly of 2016 West Frederickson Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, in Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Witucki retired in 1974 from the Enro Shirt Company after 20 years of employment. Prior to that, she worked for the Singer Manufacturing Company. She was born on Nov. 2, 1908, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident.

Mrs. Witucki is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Ronald) DeFerbrachae and Alice Jane (Robert) Bella, both of South Bend; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Stella Crowder, Mary Leach and Honorata Sciba, all of South Bend; and by two brothers, Vincent (Mary Jane) Grodicki and Peter (Helen) Brusich, both of South Bend. Mrs. Witucki belonged to the Holy Cross Parish where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also belonged to American Legion Auxiliary Post 357 and was past president of the Disabled American Veterans White Eagle Chapter 39.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Belinski, CSC, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Polish Roman Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
