SOUTH BEND - Bert E. Wiskotoni, 65, of Whippoorwill Drive, died about 8 a.m. Sunday in his home after an illness. Mr. Wiskotoni retired in 1991 from Torrington Corp. and was employed by the South Bend Community School Corp. He was born Oct. 19, 1929, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 29, 1950, he married Irene Wrobel. She survives with three sisters, Alice Richmond and Florence Bella, both of South Bend, and Jean Stasiak of Edwardsburg; and four brothers, Dan of Port Charlotte, Fla., Joe of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Norbert of South Bend and Raymond of Elkhart. He was a member of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church and Torrington Retirees Club, and was a past member of the Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum of St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or the church building fund.
